Chris Akers

Chris is originally from Dayton, Ohio. He has been on staff with Cru since 1978. He directs Cru's Here's Life Inner City Ministry in Orlando. He is married to Karen and they have four grown children. 




Randy Bronson

Randy is a math teacher with Florida Virtual School and is married to Sallie. Randy enjoys reading and rooting for the Florida Gators. He longs to see God make us cling to Him so that we might be for Him a people, a name, a praise, and a glory.


Vic Godlewski

Vic is almost a native Floridian. He moved with his family to Orlando at the age of 10 months. He graduated from UCF with a BSE and MSE in environmental engineering. He has worked as an engineering consultant since graduation. Vic is married to Cathy and they have five children. The Godlewski family has been active in ministry at UPC since 1992.





Hani Faragalla

Hani was born in Alexandria, Egypt. He married Lilian in Setpember 1992 and they have two children. Hani and Lilian moved to Orlando after joining the staff of Cru in 2003. They have been attending UPC since the fall of 2003 where Hani has served on the Missions Team for several years.

Eric Fleshood

Eric is married to Colleen and they have five children. He is an American by birth, Virginian by the grace of God. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Great Commission Foundation with Cru. He loves golf and geneology. He also enjoys teaching and studying the Word, and looks foward to serving the congregation in these ways.

Pete Johnson

Pete and JoAnn are empty nesters with four grown children and have been at UPC since 2007. They both work for Cru - Pete is the Risk Manager. Pete enjoys running, golf, finding hiking trails with elevation change in Florida, and seeing God show off His power in nature and people.

John Karraker

John and his wife Jenny moved to Orlando from Philadelphia in 2008. They currently work with Faculty Commons, the professor outreach of Cru. They have four daughters and three grandchildren. They enjoy hiking, nature documentaries, classical music, and discovering the "real" Florida.

Brent Larson

Brent and his wife Darcy both work with the JESUS Film Project. He co-leads, and is the head writer, for a film production team that makes short narrative films that help connect people with Jesus and learn how to walk with Him. Brent likes figuring out how to help people experience Jesus.

Tim Maguire

Tim was born in Philadelphia and is married to Susan. They have two grown children and five grandchildren. Tim is retired from Lennox International, where he served as Vice President and General Manager for Service Experts. Tim and Susan have worked as members of the Marriage Retreat Team and are members of a Life Group.





Marc Rutter

Marc was born in Tulare, California and is married to Patty. They have four grown children. Marc and Patty have be involved at UPC since 1992 and Marc has been an elder since 1994. They both serve with Cru on the US Leadership Team where Marc is the US National Director of Leadership Development. Marc enjoys helping people grow spiritually and speaks often on leadership, character growth, and evangelism. He loves coffee, community, and cheering on FSU!






Harvey Spears


Harvey and his wife Carol are both on staff with Cru and have attended UPC since early 1993. Harvey loves to read - mostly science, philosophy and theology - and loves traveling with his family. Harvey wants to see God transform the people of UPC to be full of the love and knowledge of Him and to see Him work through UPC to transform East Orlando, Florida, and the world for Christ.

Larry has been a member of UPC since its inception and shares: "When UPC was started I experienced the joy of being actively involved in ministry and of seeing God work through our spiritual gifts. God builds His kingdom primarily through the local church and it has been a privilege for me to see the impact UPC has had in our community. God's kingdom is being established in East Orlando and God has given me a strong desire to be part of that through UPC.

John Webb


John counts himself “westerner” by culture, growing up on the desert in Yuma, Arizona. He married high school sweetheart Dianne in 1981 and they now have three grown daughters in Boston, Washington D.C. and Nashville. They moved to Orlando in 1991 and have been part of UPC since its first Sunday that same year. John’s currently a CPA and business consultant. He’d rather be in the mountains than the beach.
